Back from Hiatus with King of Nothing!
We are returning to the stage at The Brick May 31 - Jun 3!
Welcome to the end of the world. Are you sitting comfortably? Are you gripping your flashlight tightly? Did you take your pill today? Quiet now. A transmission’s coming through.
We know we’ve been off the grid for quite some time as we worked out how to return to making theater after the last few years. As No Exit started as a digital collective we had our work cut out for us to figure out how to bring what we learned over the pandemic to live theater. As we move forward, we are hoping to continue to make live theater accessible and global. For our first in-person production, we are going to The Brick in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with an original show by Rachel Weekley, King of Nothing.
To make this possible we are hoping to raise $3500 by our opening night (May 31st!) through our Fractured Atlas campaign which you can donate to HERE. All donations are tax-deductible. $300 0f which has already been raised via our fundraising event on May 1st (our 3rd anniversary!).

Welcome to the end of the world. Are you sitting comfortably? Are you gripping your flashlight tightly? Did you take your pill today? Quiet now. A transmission’s coming through.
On a garbage heap at the end of the world, one fool looks for meaning and love from the only words they’ve ever known. King of Nothing is a one-person, one sock puppet mangling of King Lear inspired by the environmental collapse of our post-Amazon age that explores the viability of text stripped of its original context and structure. Can we create beauty out of garbage? Can we find ourselves together in our loneliness? What is the point of a fool at the end of the world?
Originally workshopped at Brick Aux, and presented as part of TrashFest/DarkFest 2022 at The Tank.
CW: darkness, attempted suicide, tomfoolery
I look forward to seeing you there!
