King of Nothing Returns July 2024 in Harrisburg, PA!
King of Nothing July 2024, and more!
Welcome to the end of the world. Are you sitting comfortably? Are you gripping your flashlight tightly? Did you take your pill today? Quiet now. A transmission’s coming through.
We last sent you a message about our first in-person production last May, today that show is heading to the Harrisburg Fringe Festival. This is a first step in bringing No Exit Theatre Collective productions outside of our hub in NYC to cities around the world.
To make this and any future programming possible we are running a general support campaign HERE. All donations will help make NETC’s future possible, as we currently rely on personal funds and ticket sales which is not sustainable in the long run. All donations are tax-deductible.

Welcome to the end of the world. Are you sitting comfortably? Are you gripping your flashlight tightly? Did you take your pill today? Quiet now. A transmission’s coming through.
King of Nothing is a one-person, one sock puppet mangling of King Lear set on a garbage heap at the end of the world. Flashlights will be provided at the door.
CW: darkness, attempted suicide, tomfoolery
King of Nothing was originally workshopped as part of TrashFest/DarkFest at The Tank in 2022, and had its world premier in 2023 at The Brick, Brooklyn’s primary incubator of innovative theater.
I look forward to seeing you there!
- Zeynep Akça (she/they)
Producing Artistic Director
2024 - 2025 Season
This year we hope to bring you consistent programming with bringing back some old favorites like The Fortnightly Reading Series, and some new works!
